AMERICAN BEHAVIORAL HOSTS ANNUAL GATHERING OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CEOS
National Behavioral Consortium Board of Directors makes annual planning retreat
BIRMINGHAM, ALA. — March 16, 2009 — American Behavioral will host national leaders of the behavioral health care industry March 25-26 for the National Behavioral Consortium Board of Directors’ annual planning retreat.
Representatives from California, Massachusetts, Florida, Kansas, Oregon, New Mexico and Alabama will convene for strategic planning of the organization for 2009-2010.
R. William Whitmer, founder, president and CEO of the Health Enhancement Research Organization (HERO), will also appear as a featured speaker during the retreat.
Allen S. Blackwell, president and CEO of Birmingham-based American Behavioral, is serving as president of the National Behavioral Consortium (NBC) for 2009. He was named to the organization’s board in 2007 and served as president-elect for 2007-2008.
“Hosting the Board of Directors of the National Behavioral Consortium gives American Behavioral the opportunity to learn from the top executives in our industry,” said Blackwell. “Likewise, we look forward to showcasing the excellent operation that we have built here in Birmingham.”
