AMERICAN BEHAVIORAL NAMED ONE OF THE

“BEST PLACES TO WORK” FOR SECOND YEAR

BIRMINGHAM, ALA — Sept. 12, 2008 — American Behavioral is one of the “Best Places to Work” in Birmingham for the second consecutive year, according to the Birmingham Business Journal. The Birmingham-based behavioral health care organization was one of the top-scoring companies in the category for companies with 51-100 employees.

American Behavioral was selected for this honor based on a survey of its employees conducted this summer by an employee engagement research company.

In an article published by the Birmingham Business Journal about the award, American Behavioral President and CEO Allen S. Blackwell explained that hiring talented, team-oriented associates is the key to building a positive work environment.

“At American Behavioral, we emphasize hiring individuals who share the same values that we do, such as respect and honesty,” said Allen S. Blackwell, President and CEO of American Behavioral. “In doing so, we create an environment that cultivates talent and our associates’ careers.”

American Behavioral also earned the Birmingham Business Journal’s Best in Business award in the 26-100 employee category in 2007.
