12/13/2007 - American Behavioral Named One of the "Best Places to Work"

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Sept. 17, 2007 - American Behavioral is one of the "Best Places to Work" in Birmingham, according to the Birmingham Business Journal. The Birmingham-based behavioral healthcare organization was one of the top scoring companies in the category for Companies with 1-50 employees.

American Behavioral was selected for this honor based on a survey of its employees conducted this summer by an employee engagement research company.

"A major goal of American Behavioral is to keep employees productive in the work place for those corporations we serve. That same concern actually begins at home with the associates of American Behavioral," said Allen S. Blackwell, President and CEO of American Behavioral. "This recognition from the Birmingham Business Journal humbles and inspires us to work even more closely with our own associates."

The overall winner of each size category will be announced at an Oct. 4 awards luncheon.

American Behavioral also earned the Birmingham Business Journal's Best in Business award in the 26 to 100 employee category earlier this year.
