6/22/2007 - American Behavioral receives 2007 BBJ Best in Business Award

(BIRMINGHAM, AL) - June 22, 2007 - The Birmingham Business Journal has awarded American Behavioral its 2007 Best in Business Award for businesses with 26-100 employees.

 

This is American Behavioral's second time to receive the award, previously winning in 2001. The company, based in Birmingham with an office in Montgomery, was also a finalist last year.

 

"This outstanding honor is a result of the hard work our associates put into their jobs every day," said American Behavioral President and CEO Allen Blackwell. "We have developed a level of credibility in the market as a company that is always responsible in delivering on our commitments."

 

Since its incorporation in 1990, American Behavioral has recorded annual revenue growth of at least 25 percent and in 2006, the company recorded more than $10 million in revenue for the first time.

 

"Our future prospects are exciting to contemplate," Blackwell said.

 

The company's co-founder, H.E. Logue, M.D., Chief Medical Officer and Chairman, Board of Directors, accepted the award on behalf of American Behavioral's several dozen associates.   All winners were featured in the June 15 edition of the Birmingham Business Journal.
