Hearing Impaired Services

American Behavioral utilizes TTY Relay Services for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech disabled who wish to communicate with our staff.  These calls are made using a teletypewriter (TTY) which is a communications device equipped for typing messages and a screen for reading them.  The caller may connect to any standard telephone line and simply dial the local telephone company's Communications Assistant.  Once connected, the Communications Assistant calls our number to relay the information to us and communicate our responses back to the caller.  Additionally, American Behavioral maintains a database of specialty providers and screens specifically for services for the hearing impaired.
